General Instructions

  • The eligibility for joining any Bachelor degree programmes under Calicut University is Plus Two pass with minimum 45 % of marks (exceptions to SC/ST apply).

  • Candidates should take an Aptitude Test offered at the specified Examination center at the College or at different centres across Kerala. Based on the score in the Test, candidates will be called for an Admission Interview at Chetana College office.

  • It is mandatory that one of the parents or Local Guardian should be present at the time of admissions. Parents/Local Guardian would submit a Declaration on behalf of their ward that the student would abide by the rules and guidelines of the College, aimed at maintaining the general decorum at the campus.

  • After the Aptitude Test, the students could take admission to the respective course, remitting the Semester Fee* prescribed by the University for Different Courses, along with the ‘Other Fee’ as per the University Statutes.

  • * Every semester, the Examination Fee stipulated by the University for different courses and different types of examinations should be remitted to University through the College online link or via Akshaya Kendra etc

  • The College will provide the basic facilities (labs, studios) and equipment (camera, lights etc) required for different programs. But every student should have a Laptop Computer at their disposal in order to enhance the curricular and co-curricular experience (contact Chetana office for features/specifications of the Laptop) and a Camera (for courses related to Film & Television).

  • Chetana College reserves the right to reject an Application that is incomplete or incorrect.

  • Chetana has the right to change/alter the dates or timing at any given time during the application process.

Application Fee

You can pay the Non Refundable application fee for the preferred program through any of the following modes given below.

  • Bank Transfer – NEFT/RTGS to the designated college account
  • UPI Payment – Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.
  • Cash Payment – At the college admission office.
  • Online Payment – Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI
  • Demand Draft (DD) – In favor of the college, payable at the designated bank

For the LRP (Language Reduced Programme) Programmes :

BA Film and Television 32000/semester x 8 semesters = 2,56,000

BA Visual Communication 32000/semester x 8 semesters = 2,56,000

BA Graphic Design and Animation 32000/semester x 8 semesters = 2,56,000

BA MultiMedia  32000/semester x 8 semesters = 2,56,000

For the Non LRP Programme :

BA Mass Communication and Journalism 27000/semester x 8 semesters = 2,16,000

for PG Programmes

MA Journalism and Mass Communication 25000/semester x 4 semesters =1,00,000

*If a student decides to join one of the ‘Add-on Courses’ offered by the College, they should pay the prescribed special course fee.
